Deep Letting Go

an exploration of breath, fascia, muscle, bone & your nervous system

with Bella Dreizler

Foam rolling?  We love it! Because it addresses those first layer kinks we all experience in neck and back, hips and shoulders, knees and feet.  And, yes, we’ll start our time together moving through essential foam rolling.  But under that first layer, a whole world of deep letting go awaits.  Come feel the many creative ways double tennis balls give you the profound release you’ve been waiting for.  Special additional focus in this session: your psoas muscle and flossing the nervous system.   You’ll immediately feel the impact of these simple, pleasure-filled techniques on your mat…and in your life.

Tools

Two tools required for participation will be available in class for trial and/or purchase. 

  • 3 foot foam roller: when it comes to myofascial release, using correct density, so important.  Please bring your own if you have one and know that four densities will be available for you to try.

  • Wrapped tennis balls: to go deeper and access the sticky soft tissue next to full spine, enmeshed in organ body, deep in hip, below knee and between shoulder and hand.

Invoking Intuition with Medicinal Support

Join Bella and Athena for a cannabis-enhanced embodiment workshop.  We begin communally in ritual: low dose cannabis and breathwork. Then we soften into presence with self-massage, breath awareness and gentle movement. 

Bella will lead an exploration of release with rollers and balls and Athena will share restorative yoga and embodied movement.  Cannabis is powerful medicine that heightens sensory awareness, allowing for a depth of practice you may have yet to experience. Come feel how self-care can be full of pleasure and often ease pain and discomfort. Let’s slow down together and have some fun luxuriating in these precious bodies.  We look forward to playing with you in this yummy workshop!

There will be blankets, varying density rollers, soft balls and double wrapped tennis balls. You are welcome to bring your own comfy items (a favorite blanket or a squishy mat) and any foam rollers or release balls that you like. Please bring a journal and water bottle.

Enrollment cost includes low dose cannabis which will be taken via pipe. You are welcome to BYO cannabis and/or pipe. If you prefer ingesting, please time your dosage appropriately. Of course, partaking in cannabis is entirely optional.

The setting is perfect for this expert, fun and feels-so-good guidance using foam rollers and balls (provided). Soak in the tubs, roll on the deck with Bella and then soak some more. This perfect storm fascia release delivers you to natural ease and organic alignment.

Frustration is such a common experience in our search for healing. So many folks, willing and able to learn how to care for themselves, simply lack skillful guidance.  Or have been turned off by aggressive practices that ignore our unique asymmetries and create increased pain. Bella’s classes forge a welcome bridge to healing.  And since we are drawn to repeat that which is pleasurable and enjoyable, her classes focus on luxuriating in feel-good sensation.
